The Finance, Justice, Policing, Legal Services and Property Services students can apply for their parchment online.

This process will allow students to apply for their Parchment without the need to complete a hardcopy of the Parchment Application form.

Parchment Application Process

When you have completed your qualification please follow Steps 1-5 below to apply for your parchment.

Step1: Unique Student Identifier (USI):

It is now a mandatory requirement for every student undertaking nationally accredited training to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Please note that the USI is required in addition to your TAFESA ID number. You must indicate your USI in your online parchment application form.

To create a new USI please click on ‘Create your USI

Step 2: Download a copy of your Academic Transcript

Download and print a copy of your academic transcript from your MyTAFE SA account by clicking on 'View Academic Transcript'

Step 3. Download the Transition Document

Where you have completed a unit but cannot find it on your 'Qualification Checklist' the name of the unit of competency or National Code may have changed. This is where the 'Transition Document’ becomes useful. This document lists previous units of competency names and matches them to their current unit equivalents.

To download, click on 'Transition Document’.

Step 4. Complete the Qualification Checklist

The 'Qualification Checklist’ provides the National Training Package requirements for a qualification.  You must check your qualification checklist before applying for the parchment.

To download, click on 'Qualification Checklist'

 I. If you have identified a unit as completed on your academic transcript and that matches exactly a unit on the 'Qualification Checklist' then mark this unit as a “yes” in the 'Completed Units’ column.

II. If you have identified a unit as completed on your academic transcript and this unit does NOT match with a unit on the 'Qualification Checklist' but matches with a unit on the 'Transition Document’ , then this unit should be marked as a " yes"  in the 'Credit Transfer’ column on the 'Qualification  Checklist'.

III. If you have completed a unit/s of competency from another Australian Registered Training Organisation and it matches with a unit on the 'Qualification Checklist’ or 'Transition Document’ then this units should be marked as a “yes" in the 'Credit Transfer’ column on the ‘Qualification Checklist’.  Then email a scanned certified copy of your original transcript to FJP.Parchment@tafesa.edu.au
