    This course has been designed to support you meet your academic integrity requirements as a student at TAFE SA.

    Academic integrity means being honest and ethical in your studies.  Students, lecturers and other staff must act with honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility. This LEARN course has been designed to show you what to do and what not to do to ensure you follow the principles of academic integrity.

    You will learn:

    • why academic integrity is important,
    • about plagiarism, collusion, fraud, contract cheating and its dangers,
    • about the dangers of commercial academic file-sharing sites,
    • how to use artificial intelligence tools appropriately,
    • about referencing and what is available at TAFE SA to support you to learn how to reference correctly,
    • how to prevent academic integrity misconduct,
    • how staff may detect possible misconduct and how these cases will be handled.

    All students are encouraged to complete this Academic Integrity LEARN course. 

    There is a learning activity at the end of each topic, and a final quiz at the end of the LEARN course.  You will need to achieve a Satisfactory outcome for the learning activity (quiz) at end of each topic, before you can access the final quiz.  There are 6 end of topic learning activities in total.

    To receive your Acknowledgement of Training certificate, you must achieve a Satisfactory outcome for the final quiz. You can attempt each learning activity, and the final quiz more than once. If you don't achieve a Satisfactory outcome, you are encouraged to review the relevant topic(s) and try again.
