Renewable energy has become a serious issue on which the media often reports.  Tony Abbott's Government has not introduced any significant initiatives to combat climate change but this may change due to public pressure.  Bill Shorten has recently said that he intends for Labor to have a target of 50% renewable energy for Australia by 2030, which was supported by the public and the media; being possibly the most ambitious 'green' plan in Australia's history.  If the plan is implemented, it will have considerable impacts on the Australian economy, presenting both benefits and challenges.

Renewable energy has become a big issue.  And the media often reports on it.  Tony Abbott's Government hasn't done any big things to fight climate change.  But maybe this will change since lots of people are asking for action.  Bill Shorten has not long ago said that he wants Labor to have a target of 50% renewable energy for Australia by 2030.  This was pretty popular with the public and the media. And this could be the most ambitious 'green' plan in Australia's history.  If the plan gets put into place, it will have lots of impacts on the Australian economy.  Both good points and challenges.
