Course Description

This course enhances the skills and knowledge required to modify and operate an integrated Xero cloud computerised accounting system. It is designed for individuals employed in a range of accounting, bookkeeping and the business services sector using Xero cloud accounting software. These job roles include; accountants, bookkeepers, accounts receivable and payable clerk, and inventory clerks. Xero cloud accounting is widely used in many job roles in both small and medium businesses and accounting firms.

Setup and Operate Xero Cloud Accounting - Intermediate
After successfully completing this course the candidate will be able to:

  • Xero Orientation and Help: This includes Accessing Xero, My Xero, Accessing an organisation, switching organisations, The dashboard, Business Help Centre, Xero email support and Notifications
  • Setup Chart of accounts: This includes Adding an account, Archiving an account, Deleting an account and Locked Accounts
  • Bank Accounts: This includes creating a bank account and Bank feed setup
  • Setting up customer, suppliers and other Users: This includes Understanding users, Adding a user, User permissions, Managing users and Inviting Xero customer care
  • Setting up Contacts: This includes Adding a contact, Archiving contacts, Merging contacts, and Grouping contacts
  • Invoicing and Receipts, Sales and Purchases: This includes Sales dashboard, Invoice stages, Searching invoices, Creating an invoice, Editing an invoice, Voiding invoices, Copying invoices, Sending invoices, Applying a payment, Sending statements and Purchases dashboard
  • Bank Reconciliation: This includes Understanding the statement balance, Understanding the balance in Xero, Matching Adjustments, Allocating Part Payments, Auto suggestion, Bank rules, Discussion and Transfers
  • Generate Reports: This include generating the profit and loss and exporting reports
