Course Description
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to record general journal adjustment entries and to prepare end of period financial reports.
This course is designed for individuals employed in a range of work environments who are responsible for preparing financial reports. They may provide administrative support within an enterprise, or be responsible for these tasks in relation to their own workgroup or role such as an accounts clerk, bookkeeper, BAS agent, payroll officer, accounts assistant, accounts payable or accounts receivable.
This course will enhance the skills and knowledge required to record general journal adjustment entries and to prepare end of period financial reports.
After successfully completing this course candidates will be able to;
·maintain a fixed asset register,
·record general journal entries for balance day adjustments,
·prepare final general ledger accounts and
·prepare end of period financial reports such as profit loss account (income statement) and balance sheet
