If you have prior qualifications in Australian Tax Law with an Australian registered training organisation or university, you can achieve the TPB educational requirements of Tax Law courses for Tax agent registration or renewal to satisfy either of the following two options.
Option 1:
- If you have completed Prepare legally compliant tax returns for individuals (FNSACC502) or similar course contents in your previous studies (click here to view the similar learning outcomes), you must study the Australian Taxation Law II (TAFESA TPB 2) course to satisfy the TPB Tax Law requirements.

Option 2:
- If you have completed Prepare and administer compliant tax returns for legal entities (FNSACC601) or similar course contents in your previous studies (click here to view the similar learning outcome), you must study the Australian Taxation Law I (TAFESA TPB 1) course to satisfy the TPB Tax Law requirements.
